Freelance website designer and SEO specialist in Brisbane Australia

The cost of hiring a website designer will largely depend on the size of your project and / or the type of support you need. I have a range of website support and design packages to meet you exactly where you're at in your business – from website audits, support packages and design days through to full website rebuilds.

While custom-designed websites can cost upwards of $10,000+ and take weeks to design and build, my signature Squarespace website designs require just a fraction of this investment and time. You’ll walk away with a beautifully branded, professionally designed website that’s ready to launch with confidence – all for less than $4,000 aud.

You can get started by booking a free website consultation with me – Alana Jade, experienced Brisbane website designer. During this call, we'll talk through your business goals, website challenges and needs. From here, I can guide you on which website design service is best for your stage of business.

Typically, web design projects can take several weeks to complete. However, at Alana Jade Studio, following my signature guided website process, I'm able to have your website fully installed, styled with your branding and populated with all your images and words within 14 business days. My clients tell me working within a short, contained timeline (rather than a long drawn-out project) is much more gentle on their nervous system and energy levels. Book a chat with me here.

It’s a great question. Especially for those who are either just starting out with a new website or for those considering moving from one platform to another. First of all, Squarespace is super easy to use. And the great news is that it is WAY easier to use than Wordpress. I used to build websites on Wordpress and what I started to notice was that my clients found creating and editing Wordpress pages and blog posts incredibly time-consuming and frustrating. Not to mention, Wordpress comes with a whole heap of self-maintenance and technical garbage you just don’t have to deal with on Squarespace. I write more about Squarespace vs Wordpress here. In a nutshell, when you’re just starting out or you’ve got a small team, your business is growing, and your offerings are evolving, it’s incredibly important that your website supports all this easily. I've been building websites for small businesses on Squarespace since 2019 now and have not looked back (well, I have looked back and thought "Thank god I'm not on Wordpress anymore" Haha!)

My zone of genius is Squarespace. This is the platform where I can do my best and most efficient work, which means you get the most bang for your buck. If you’d like to chat about moving to Squarespace, book a chat with me here

We sure do! One of our core design values is kind design. Kind websites are kind to the people using them – that includes you! So we prioritise designs that are easy to use, navigate and manage. We also empower you to manage your own website going forward, so it can evolve with your business and remain sustainable long-term. We achieve this through our unique design and coding methodology, combined with the Squarespace website platform and a library of instructional step-by-step videos so you can easily find answers to any questions. And of course, personal email support is included too.

That’s no worries! I design websites for small businesses all across Australia and worldwide too! Reach out here and we can make a plan, no matter where you’re located.

Sure can. Many of my clients have opted to move from Wordpress to Squarespace. In fact, here’s what one client said about the experience: “I was looking for a new website that was clean, pleasing on the eye and that I could update without ending up in a crying mess (like I had been with my old Wordpress site). And, let me tell you, this gal did not disappoint! The entire process was easy, effortless and straightforward. She misses NO steps. Not once did I get into overwhelm. I am in love with my new site and can’t believe how quick the whole process was.” – Kirsten Severino, Kinesiologist

All our designs require the Business Squarespace plan (see pricing for Squarespace here). You’ll also need to purchase your domain name (website URL) and possibly an email account. If you choose to host your domain and email account with Squarespace, you may be able to get the first year of domain and email hosting for free.  And if none of this makes sense, don’t worry, book a chat and we can talk through your specific requirements and I can guide you from there.

We recommend allowing at least four weeks between booking and your project start date to give you plenty of time to complete your website pack and prepare your content. We only take on two projects each month, and our schedule tends to book out 4–6 weeks in advance — so reach out early to secure your spot and get the process started.
