Kind design
Kind websites are kind to the people using them – both your visitors and you. I prioritise designs that are easy to use, navigate and manage, and are accessible for people of all types of abilities. Kind user journeys and intentionally light design help to lower your website carbon footprint, too.
-
Calm and ethical
Calm design is gentle on your visitors’ nervous systems. It removes distractions and encourages curiosity, leading them on a natural journey of exploration. In a world of information overwhelm, this is a big point of difference, helping your business to stand out.
-
Credibility and connection
My designs establish credibility and connect deeply with the right audiences. Infused with your brand’s personality, values and contribution to the world. Your website becomes a conduit for creating an engaged and trusting community.

Kind words from our clients
“I am very happy to share that I have had a new client booking each week, consistently for the past eight weeks. I just had a week off, and in that time, five new clients booked! This is all to do with the website project. I haven't been doing any ads or Instagram for a couple of months and every client that books has told me they found me on Google!

Meet female web designer, Alana Jade
Hello there. I’m Alana – an experienced female website designer in Australia specialising in Squarespace website design for women.
Back in 2019, quite organically in response to deep personal burnout, I started designing websites that are gentle on the nervous system — calming, understated, easy to navigate and infused with beauty and transparency.
Since then, I’ve built over 100 calm and kind websites for female entrepreneurs and women-led businesses across Australia, the UK, US, Spain and France.
Over and over, my clients tell me how supported, relaxed and clear they feel during their website build with me. Music to my ears! And their clients are happy too — the sold-out classes, workshops and services prove it.
With 10+ years experience working with female entrepreneurs, I can help you create an online presence that reaches the people who need your work most.

The cost of hiring a female website designer will largely depend on the size of your project and / or the type of support you need. I have a range of website support and design packages to meet you exactly where you're at in your business – from website audits, support packages and design days through to full website rebuilds.

Typically, web design projects can take several weeks to complete. However, at Alana Jade Studio, following my proven one-week website process, I'm able to have your website fully installed, styled with your branding and populated with all your images and words within 5 business days. My clients – mostly female entrepreneurs and women-led businesses – tell me working within a short, contained timeline (rather than a long drawn-out project) is much more gentle on their nervous system and energy levels. It’s a great question. Especially for those who are either just starting out with a new website or for those considering moving from one platform to another. First of all, Squarespace is super easy to use.
And the great news is that it is WAY easier to use than Wordpress. I used to build websites for women on Wordpress and what I started to notice was that my clients found creating and editing Wordpress pages and blog posts incredibly time-consuming and frustrating. Not to mention, Wordpress comes with a whole heap of self-maintenance and technical garbage you just don’t have to deal with on Squarespace.
I write more about Squarespace vs Wordpress here. In a nutshell, when you’re just starting out or you’ve got a small team, your business is growing, and your offerings are evolving, it’s incredibly important that your website supports all this easily.
I've been building websites for women on Squarespace since 2019 now and have not looked back (well, I have looked back and thought "Thank god I'm not on Wordpress anymore" Haha!)

My zone of genius is Squarespace. This is the platform where I can do my best and most efficient work and the website platform I recommend for all women in business because of how easy it is to use. If you’d like to chat about moving to Squarespace, book a chat with me here

I sure do! One of my core design values is kind design. Kind websites are kind to the people using them – that includes you! So I prioritise designs that are easy to use, navigate and manage. I also empower you to manage your own website going forward, so it can evolve with your business and remain sustainable long-term. I achieve this through my unique design and coding methodology, combined with the Squarespace website platform and a library of instructional step-by-step videos so you can easily find answers to any questions. And of course, personal email support is included too.
-
Sure can. Many of my clients have opted to move from Wordpress to Squarespace. In fact, here’s what one client said about the experience: “I was looking for a new website that was clean, pleasing on the eye and that I could update without ending up in a crying mess (like I had been with my old Wordpress site). And, let me tell you, this gal did not disappoint! The entire process was easy, effortless and straightforward. She misses NO steps. Not once did I get into overwhelm. I am in love with my new site and can’t believe how quick the whole process was.” – Kirsten Severino, Kinesiologist

All our designs require the Business Squarespace plan (see pricing for Squarespace here). You’ll also need to purchase your domain name (website URL) and possibly an email account. If you choose to host your domain and email account with Squarespace, you may be able to get the first year of domain and email hosting for free. And if none of this makes sense, don’t worry, book a chat and we can talk through your specific requirements and I can guide you from there.

I recommend that you allow at least four weeks between booking your project and the website build week to allow enough time to complete your website starter kit and prepare all your content. My schedule tends to book up 1-2 months in advance. However, I can sometimes accommodate rush projects, if you’re working towards a very definite timeline. Reach out as soon as you can to get the process started.
