Meet your web designer, Alana Jade

I’m an Australian Squarespace web designer, plant-based food enthusiast, clarinetist and nature lover, with a passion for minimalist business practices and simple, kind living.

I created my first one-week website design in 2019, in response to deep personal burn-out.

Quite organically, because of my own needs, I started designing websites that are gentle on the nervous system — calming, understated, easy to navigate and infused with beauty and transparency.

You have the option to customise the colours and fonts on your chosen design to reflect your unique business branding, so it’s super important to have branding you love. We ask that you provide us with your business branding guide, created by a professional branding expert, that outlines your colour palette and font pairing (for headings, sub-headings, paragraphs and buttons). If you don’t have a branding guide yet or you’re not in love with your current branding – no worries! You can add on a branding kit to your project.

High-quality imagery

The images on your website matter, which is why you’ll need a good collection of high-quality, on-brand images shot and edited by a professional photographer and/or on-brand stock images. Your branding colours and the colours in your photographs and stock images should complement each other, so that when we combine these elements together onto your website, they enhance each other and your brand story. If you need support selecting the right stock images for your brand, you can add stock image curation to your project.

Words that work

We’ll give you a content planner that guides you through each page on your website and helps you to know what to write about, where. Each page has word limits and guidelines to follow to protect the integrity of the design, keep it looking aesthetically pleasing and ensure that your words are concise and captivating for your website visitors. If you need support writing your copy – easy! Let us know at the start of your project and we can hook you up with our recommended copywriters.

Fill out this questionnaire here so we can get to know each other. We’ll jump on a call, chat more about the finer details, and I’ll answer any questions you might have. If it’s a ‘yes!’ to working together, you’ll select a base design and pay your deposit to secure your chosen build week.

Welcome pack & strategy

Welcome pack & strategy session

Once you’re all booked in, we’ll send through your website welcome pack containing everything you need to get creating (content planners, questionnaires, brand shoot mini training and more). You’ll also meet with Alana for a one-hour strategy session. We will brainstorm out any ideas you have and Alana will use her years of professional design and business experience to guide you. You’ll walk away with a clear plan for the content and structure needed for your website.

Prepare your content

Prepare your content

Using the guidelines from your strategy session and provided in your website welcome pack, you’ll prepare your branding, words and imagery to fit within the page layouts and style of your chosen base design. If you need a hand completing the questionnaires and planners, we have a check-in call two weeks out from your build week, where you can bring along any questions.

We build it

It takes just 5 business days! Over the course of a week, you and your business will have our whole creative attention as we create your new online home. By the end of the week, your website will be ready to share. We’ll also give you a detailed handover pack with lots of helpful tips to get the most from your launch, special client offers and access to our training library with helpful videos so you feel empowered and confident to use your website.
