Is Squarespace easy to use?
How easy is it to use Squarespace?
It’s a great question. Especially for those who are either just starting out with a new website or for those considering moving from another platform, such as Wordpress.
So, yes! Squarespace is super easy to use. And the great news is that it is WAY easier to use than Wordpress (I write more about that in this post here).
I used to be a podcast coach and business coach for women, and I used to build websites on Wordpress too.
What I started to notice was that those on Wordpress found creating and editing pages and blog posts incredible time-consuming and frustrating. Not to mention, the pages never quite looked "right".
When your business is growing, and your offerings are evolving and you want to share useful content on your blog so people can connect with you, it’s incredibly important that your website supports all this easily.
You don't want to feel cocked blocked 🍆 by technology every time you go to make a simple change or share something on your website.
This is no way to grow an online business.
Enter Squarespace.
I've been building websites on Squarespace for over two years now and have literally not looked back (well, I have looked back and thought "Thank god I'm not on Wordpress anymore" Haha!)
This short video shows you just how easy it is to create new pages and add content to a Squarespace site.
We are using the Desert Dream One Week Website base design in this tutorial.
Note: not all Squarespace sites are made equal. If you are hiring a web designer, make sure you check with them that they are coding in a way that will make it easy for you to manage your site once it's handed over. Otherwise, you're going to be in the same position you were with Wordpress. I use a special coding methodology in all my designs which means you get all the pretty flourishes and customisations of a custom coded site but the site is super easy for you to update as well – as you'll see in this video.
